About the role
The position is an integral part of SLD Pumps & Power (A division of The Carrier Group). SLD is one of the UK's longest-established suppliers of pumping equipment and power generator equipment. Providing rental and equipment sales to Construction, Mining, Industrial, and Oil and Gas sectors. Customers recognise SLD for our reliability and excellent customer service in some of the most demanding operating environments.
The role requires someone who can build relationships with customers at all levels within the different sectors. Identify the customer's needs, provide a competitive solution, and close the sale. Work hand in hand with the local depot to maximise customer satisfaction and develop profitable utilisation of the hire fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Area Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
* Developing existing customer relationships, creating, and establishing a new network of additional customers.
* Increasing the sale and rental revenue for SLD Pumps & Power in the designated region.
* Providing reports on customer enquiries, hires, and sales in the sales region.
* Working closely with the depots in the sales region to increase overall revenue, utilisation, and profitability of the depot.
* Being a reliable and trusted contact for our customers.
* Becoming a valued member of the sales team and the local depot team.
* Adding to the existing culture of working hard together, with respect and integrity to provide great outcomes for our customers and our business.
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
* Previous sales experience in the construction/industrial market.
* Have the customer as the main focus.
* Understand and employ a solid sales process.
* Result-driven attitude.
* Very good planning and time management skills.
* UK driving license
