Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Gloucestershire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, including SEMH needs. Targeted Provision supports vulnerable learners and you will be supported throughout every placement by our SEN / SEND Support Specialists. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to work 1:1 with children and young people with diverse learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma‑informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Work with young people referred by local authorities and schools requiring support in their educational and social‑emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each teaching/tutoring/mentoring session
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions meeting individual needs and supporting educational and social‑emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK (including for remote/online assignments)
* Commitment to promoting health, safety and wellbeing of children and safeguarding policies
Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, providing short‑term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service and paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self‑employed tutoring/teaching position
