Your Key Responsibilities

Engaging Language Delivery: Plan and teach interactive French lessons, focusing on the core pillars of Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.

GCSE Mastery: Use your expertise to guide Year 11 students through their final assessments, with a particular focus on improving confidence in oral exams.

Cultural Connection: Use authentic resources:from French news to popular music:to make the language relevant and exciting for Blackburn students.

Progress Tracking: Provide constructive feedback and use assessments to identify and support students who need extra help.

Positive Presence: Maintain high standards of behavior and classroom management, fostering an inclusive environment where students feel safe to practice their speaking skills.
What We Are Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential, along with a degree in French or a related field.
*
Linguistic Fluency: High:level proficiency in French, with excellent grammar and pronunciation.
*
Secondary Experience: A proven track record of teaching the French curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
*
Adaptability: The get up and go attitude to join a new department and build immediate rapport with students and staff.

DBS: A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness for one).
