Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile role with up to 50% UK-wide travel.
What you’ll do:
* Provide specialist guidance to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
* Support risk management through environmental assurance and audit programs.
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Develop and maintain performance data and carbon management reports.
* Review environmental aspects and impacts regularly, including climate change risks.
* Support project teams in embedding sustainable practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Who you are:
Experienced in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries like Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum Qualification - PIEMA
* ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
* Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice.
* Proven track record in reducing environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure.
* Experience managing complex technical and change projects.
* Full driving license and flexibility for UK travel.
