GRI Quality inspector – Eaton Titchfield, England, United Kingdom
Responsibilities
* Supporting supply chain by carrying out the inspection and measurement of detailed Components/Assemblies upon receipt into the business, validating conformance to drawing, specification and contractual requirements. When business demands require, flexibility to other value streams to support inspection activities may be required.
* Maintains a safe working environment
* Drives and sustains continuous improvement within the cell
* Maintains a high standard of housekeeping ensuring adherence to 5s standards
* Read and interpret technical drawings and understand standard specification requirements.
* Product validation with an array of inspection tools including co-ordinate measurement machines CMM and specialized inspection equipment.
* Ability to program CMM is Advantageous
* Review First Article reports with a sound knowledge of AS9102.
* Ability to create First Article reports advantageous.
* Inspection and measurement of various types of Components and Assemblies provided by external suppliers.
* Machined components
* Sub-assemblies
* Castings
* Forgings
* Mouldings
* Electrical components
* Special Processes
* COTS items
* Bearings
* Support Quality and Manufacturing with investigations on identified non-conforming product
* Strong communication skills, liaising with suppliers to notify and resolve documentation errors
* Flexibility to support business and customer demands
Qualifications
* The successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR controlled technology, goods and information. As a condition of employment, employees with access to US ITAR controlled technology and goods may be required to undergo an additional screening process as part of the recruitment process.
