The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful individual to assess and administer applications for discretionary hardship funding. The ideal candidate will approach their work with an open mind, problem-solving skills, and empathy.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing eligibility for funding such as emergency loans, responding to inquiries about discretionary financial support, providing basic financial advice, preparing hardship outcome letters, and administering payments. You will also assist in data preparation for reports and returns, and organize events for presentation purposes.
This role primarily involves contact with students via telephone and email, with some face-to-face interviews. Therefore, excellent customer service skills are essential. You should have an understanding of the financial issues faced by students and a passion for supporting them.
While most work will be on campus due to the student-facing nature of the role, remote working opportunities are available.
