A leading enterprise software house is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join its Birmingham development team. This hybrid role offers a great balance of flexibility and collaboration.
As a Software Developer, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performance applications, working across the full stack with Node.js, React and C#. Your role will involve building RESTful APIs, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments, and ensuring quality through automated testing. You will be part of a cross‑functional agile team responsible for building and evolving modern cloud applications used by engineers and transport organisations worldwide.
Key Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience with Node.js and React
* Strong REST API development skills
* Solid current experience with C# in enterprise environments
* Knowledge of CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and Azure DevOps
* Experience with Cypress testing tool
Core Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and enhance our cloud‑based applications and services
* Work across the full stack, with a focus on C# & Node.js development
* Collaborate with designers, product owners, and other engineers in an agile environment
* Deliver robust APIs and services using RESTful architecture
* Apply Test‑Driven Development to ensure reliability and maintainability
* Use Git for version control and Azure DevOps for tracking tasks and estimations
Primary focus will be on backend development using C#/.NET and Node.js, while also contributing to React front‑end and working closely with QA, delivery and product teams.
The developer will work across the full software development lifecycle, from designing new features to writing tests and improving engineering practices in a collaborative, agile team developing data‑rich, user‑friendly enterprise applications.
Requirements include the ability to travel to Birmingham city centre once a week.
