Credit Controller – Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £32,000 + Study Support

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful and growing business based in Milton Keynes. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key part in managing the sales ledger and supporting the wider business through effective credit management.
Key Responsibilities
* Debt Management: Proactively chase overdue customer payments, build strong relationships, and take ownership of all outstanding debt.
* Bank Receipts: Accurately process and allocate all customer payments from bank statements, ensuring any discrepancies are promptly resolved.
* Order Review: Monitor customer orders throughout the day where accounts are overdue or outside credit terms.
* Account Applications: Manage and process new customer credit applications, working cross-departmentally to ensure smooth onboarding.
* New Business Checks: Complete financial appointment checks on potential customers and conduct regular reviews on new opportunities.
* Credit Insurance: Run and analyse weekly credit insurance reports, adjusting customer limits to minimise company risk.
* Customer Queries: Resolve customer queries efficiently, collaborating with internal teams to reduce recurring issues.
* Reporting: Produce weekly credit control reports for management review.
* Month End: Complete all sales ledger month-end tasks by the first working day of the month.
