Job Purpose
We are looking for a motivated engineering professional with passion to controls hardware and software to join our Controls & Automation Department in Krakow Engineering Center. As a Network Engineer, you will be cooperating closely with multiple teams spread across the globe and working on controls systems for our subsea control platforms.
Job Description
1. Preparing network configurations for Subsea Production System
2. Delivery of SDG configuration (Secure Data Gateway) and project specific network configurations
3. Preparing documentation such as network topology drawing, network specification and IP plan
4. Preparing test procedures and performing network topology test using the ANTS (Automatic Network Test System)
5. Participating in meetings and design reviews with internal and external customers
6. Configuring of routing and switching equipment
7. Supporting to test personnel in the setup and conducting of system testing
8. Participating in IFAT/FAT and EFAT testing
9. Providing remote support to Technical Service Personnel (TSP), other on-site and offshore personnel during installation and troubleshooting
You are meant for this job if:
10. Bachelor's/Master's Degree in one of engineering fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Automatics and Robotics, or related
11. CCNA R&S certification is highly desirable, or demonstrated ability to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot routed and switched networks
12. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in network engineering or 3 years within industrial automation area with heavy exposure to Ethernet-based industrial networks
13. Experience in scripting languages such as Python will be a plus
14. Understanding of XML processing
15. Knowledge of network protocol analyzers such as Wireshark
16. Hands on experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of Cisco switches and routers will be a plus
17. High level of autonomy in task execution
18. Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
19. Prior experience in computer networking related problem solving and troubleshooting will be a plus
20. Ability to deliver results
21. Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
22. Readiness to frequent travel on a short notice to other TechnipFMC locations, primarily in Norway
