Astute's Renewables team is partnering with an innovative property solutions provider committed to simplifying home energy upgrades to recruit a Solar Technical Lead. This role is a fully remote position with the occasional on site visits to installs. The strategically important Solar Technical Lead role comes with a salary between £50,000- £65,000, depending on experience, company van and bonus incentives. Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Directors, you will: Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of solar PV and battery storage systems. Ensure all works meets industry compliance standards. Oversee and sign off installation work delivered. Provide hands-on technical support and mentoring to internal teams and partnered installers. Manage technical elements of solar and battery projects from inception to completion. Drive continuous improvement across installation processes and product standards. Liaise with clients, manufacturers, and installers to resolve technical queries and ensure satisfaction. Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations on-site. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification. Proven experience installing systems using the OpenSolar platform. In-depth understanding of MCS standards and certification processes.
