Job responsibilities
As a Biomedical Scientist at our Wessex Hospital, you will bring relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science. You should have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment across various techniques, be a natural communicator and team player, and share our commitment to quality. Your responsibilities include:
* Delivering high-quality pathology services.
* Performing biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting, and quality control.
* Maintaining records of specimens, results, reagents, and consumables.
* Supporting the validation and assessment of new equipment and diagnostic procedures.
* Contributing to providing the best experience for patients.
Qualifications and requirements
* HCPC registration (required).
* BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification/experience.
* Experience in blood sciences laboratory work.
* Knowledge of analytical equipment in multidisciplinary techniques.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to maintain good customer relationships and provide high service levels.
* Ability to multi-task and meet turnaround times.
* Experience in Haematology, Chemistry, and Blood Transfusion biomedical science.
