The School of Medicine at the University of St Andrews is seeking a dynamic and experienced School Manager to join its senior leadership team from February 2026. This is a high-impact senior role at the heart of one of the UK’s most forward-thinking medical schools. We are looking for a strategic and operational leader with a strong background in higher education management, academic programme delivery, and institutional partnerships. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the School’s operational strategy, supporting excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate education, and ensuring smooth coordination across academic, clinical, and administrative domains.
Responsibilities
Candidates should bring a deep understanding of the UK’s health education and research landscape, including the NHS and regulatory frameworks governing medical training. Experience in managing complex academic environments and fostering collaborative relationships across sectors will be key.
