Job Description:
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines with FANUC controls to produce high-quality components in line with engineering specifications. You will work across rotating shifts, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality are consistently upheld.
Core responsibilities of the CNC Machinist include:
* Setting up tools, fixtures, and CNC programs per job specifications.
* Operating FANUC-controlled machinery to manufacture precision components.
* Performing quality checks using measuring instruments.
* Completing basic machine maintenance including tool changes, coolant top-up, and lubrication.
* Supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects within the machining department.
* Assisting with other machining operations as needed (e.g., drilling, tapping, bandsawing).
Skills & Experience:
To thrive as a CNC Machinist, you will need:
* Previous hands-on experience operating FANUC CNC machines in a production environment.
* Strong understanding of CNC operations, tooling, and interpretation of technical drawings.
* Ability to conduct in-process inspections and adjust machine settings to maintain quality.
* A proactive, safety-conscious attitude and willingness to engage in continuous improvement.
* Flexibility to work rotational shifts and overtime where required.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team or independently.
