Weighbridge Operator and Administrator
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 47.50 hours per week, 6:45am to 4:15pm
Location: Calvert Landfill, HP18 0AF

As a Weighbridge Operator and Administrator at FCC Environment, you will play a vital role in the safe and efficient operation of our Calvert Landfill site. You will be responsible for weighing vehicles in and out, maintaining accurate records, greeting visitors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental permits.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
•Operating the weighbridge system and processing weighbridge tickets.
•Inspecting waste streams and verifying Duty of Care documentation.
•Maintaining records for hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.
•Greeting visitors and conducting site inductions.
•Handling telephone enquiries professionally and courteously.
•Performing general administrative duties including raising purchase orders, ordering supplies, and maintaining filing systems.
•Supporting the Site Manager in ensuring safe site operations and legislative compliance.
•Conducting statutory building inspections and first aid checks.
•Attending relevant training courses and undertaking any other duties as required.What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who:
•Has previous experience in weighbridge operations and administrative support (desirable).
•Is computer literate, especially with Microsoft Office and purchasing systems.
•Has strong verbal communication skills and a proactive attitude.
•Is practically minded, respectful, and flexible in their approach.
•Can work independently and as part of a team.
•Is able to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
