Mentor for Children at Risk of Exclusion
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Mentor to work with children who have been, or are at risk of being, excluded from school. This role is a chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people by offering guidance, structure, and support both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
* Build positive, trusting relationships with young people who require additional support.
* Provide mentoring to help pupils re-engage with education, improve confidence, and develop positive behaviours.
* Support learning across the curriculum, adapting approaches to meet the needs of each pupil.
* Deliver tuition sessions where appropriate (experience in this area is desirable).
* Work closely with schools, families, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
Requirements
* Substantial experience working with children who have challenging behaviour and/or additional needs.
* Strong knowledge of the school curriculum.
* Ability to deliver tuition is desirable but not essential.
* A teaching qualification is not required.
* Child-Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
