Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work within a friendly team in a busy dental environment, ensuring smooth daily operations and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
* Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently
* Answer phone calls and respond to patient enquiries promptly
* Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
* Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
* Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow throughout the day
* Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
* Assist with insurance claims processing and billing procedures
* Uphold confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations at all times
Experience
* Previous office experience is essential, preferably within a healthcare or dental setting
* Administrative experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail is highly desirable
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office or equivalent programmes
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining a friendly demeanour
* Experience in customer service roles will be considered an advantage
