Due to continued investment in plant reliability and performance, the business is now seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its dedicated engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong electrical fault-finding skills and experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Candidates with a working knowledge of PLC systems, particularly Siemens or Allen-Bradley, are particularly encouraged to apply.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Due to continued investment in plant reliability and performance, the business is now seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its dedicated engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong electrical fault-finding skills and experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Candidates with a working knowledge of PLC systems, particularly Siemens or Allen-Bradley, are particularly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns across the sites electrical systems
* Diagnose faults and carry out minor programming or resets on PLC-controlled machinery
* Support mechanical repairs and inspections, including work on motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and industrial ovens
* Work closely with the production team to minimise downtime and maintain continuous operation, particularly on powder coating lines
* Accurately document maintenance activity and contribute to plant improvement initiatives
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety legislation and internal procedures
Required Skills And Experience
* Recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent
* Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment
* Ability to fault-find and reset PLC systems, with a preference for experience in Siemens or Allen-Bradley
* Basic mechanical knowledge, with confidence in working on moving machinery
* A proactive and reliable approach to maintenance and engineering support
Desirable But Not Essential
* 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
* Experience in powder coating, painting, or industrial finishing environments
* Familiarity with automated conveyor systems or compressed air controls
* Understanding of lean manufacturing, TPM, or other improvement methodologies
