In this Senior Management position, you will report to our Commercial Trading Director and lead a team of dedicated colleagues who look after our Main Contractors, Commercial Specifier, Ground Worker, & Merchant accounts, and our major must win projects. Your main goals will be creating, developing and executing strategies, supporting your team to successfully deliver sales and specification, whilst always considering new and better ways to do things. As Divisional Trading Manager, you will set the direction, empower your team, and ensure they take full ownership within agreed frameworks. Externally, your key stakeholders will include Directors of leading architectural practices, sr stakeholders at main contractors, Managing Directors of merchant accounts, groundworkers, business owners, and decision-makers within large housebuilders. You will play a crucial role in supporting and driving the sales process, ensuring specifications are successfully converted into sales. This includes facilitating negotiations on trading agreements, providing commercial insight, and guiding the team in strategically managing margins to maximise profitability. With a keen eye for emerging opportunities, you will help shape sales strategies that align with market trends and business objectives. This is an opportunity for a strategic leader who understands the full route to market—from initial specification to final delivery—across all customer groups. Beyond delivering clear sales forecasts, managing overheads, and implementing pricing strategies, you will provide the insight, structure, and direction that enables your team to operate effectively and with confidence.
