The Trust is looking to recruit a half time Consultant Psychiatrist to join our West Suffolk Young Adult team. This post has come about due to a vacancy and joins a lively multidsciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
This post relates to the West Suffolk locality, which treats Youth from the age of 18-25 years.
The post holder will be expected to work in several different settings within the Locality, including other Trust facilities, primary care, local acute Hospital NHS Trust facilities, and patients' residences. The post holder will also be the Responsible Clinician for patients in their care.
Working within the YAMHS team, the post holder will undertake, (exceptionally), additional duties in emergencies and unforeseen circumstances and to be available for such irregular commitments outside normal duties as are essential for continuity of patient care which will on occasion involve seeing people at home and allowing time for 'hard to engage' service users.

Qualifications
* Entry on the GMC Register
* Approved Clinician Status
* Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act
* Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST
Experience
* 3 years or equivelent medical experience
* 6 months experience in relevant clinical area
* Evidence of knowledge of diagnosis, treatment + management of complex mental illness
