Our Store Development Team is expanding their construction team to support our ambitious growth plans. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at the Doncaster Property Office. You will manage, plan, and oversee construction projects across Yorkshire and Humberside, ensuring high standards and deadlines are met.
You will oversee the construction of new stores, extensions, and modernisations of our existing store portfolio, ensuring quality standards and compliance with corporate specifications and H&S requirements. You will liaise with internal and external parties throughout the project cycle, proactively address potential obstacles, plan costs, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Please be advised, you will be expected to be in the office or on site a minimum of 3 to 4 days a week.
Please note this role is internally recognized as a Senior Construction Consultant.
What you'll do
1. Oversee the construction of new stores, extensions, and modernisations.
2. Manage project plans and deadlines.
3. Monitor project progress and quality standards.
4. Manage relationships with external companies, contractors, and suppliers.
5. Ensure compliance with corporate specifications and internal procedures.
6. Maintain high standards of Health & Safety on all construction sites.
7. Address issues promptly to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.
8. Report project progress to the Senior team.
9. Control project budgets and costs.
What you'll need
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Construction.
* Proven experience in a Construction/Engineering role.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Professional negotiation skills with sound commercial judgment.
* Highly organized with a pragmatic, analytical approach.
* Ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* RICS, CIOB, or MAPM accreditation is desirable or in progress.
* Experience in the retail sector is a plus.
* Driving license is essential.
