Hourly rate of pay: £21.14 - £23.56

Days of working are negotiable, flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Development Officer to join East Lothian's Connected Communities team in Fa'side. The post is permanent, working 28 hours per week, face to face from our local office in Tranent. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a fantastic local community in East Lothian. You will do this by connecting with our local communities, working with them and a range of partners and stakeholders, to facilitate and support the delivery of local priorities contained in the Fa'side Area Partnership - area plan, our service plan and the East Lothian Council plan. This will allow the successful candidate to empower our local communities and work preventively to help reduce inequalities and tackle the impacts of poverty.
Candidates who are successful for interview will be provided with a scenario and asked to completed a presentation to the interview panel. Interviews will take place on Monday 19th May at the George Johnstone Centre, 35 Winton Place, Tranent, EH33 1AE.
Job Details
To promote and develop a responsive and inclusive Connected Communities Service working as part of a team working within a designated local area. Work with local partners and stakeholders to promote community empowerment and work preventatively to help reduce inequalities.
