We are looking for a Hire Desk Manager to join a successful, well established construction rental company based in Essex.
As Hire Desk Manager, you will be at the heart of the operation-coordinating resources, leading planning activities, and ensuring seamless service delivery to customers. This is a dynamic, hands:on role where no two days are the same, offering real responsibility and the chance to make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities:
: Oversee the day:to:day coordination of equipment, labour, and transport to ensure smooth operations
: Develop effective work plans and manage bookings to maximise utilisation
: Collaborate with workshop and yard teams to ensure equipment readiness and site organisation
: Act as a key point of contact for customers, handling enquiries and orders with professionalism
: Support and guide hire desk and operational teams to achieve daily targets
: Promote a strong health and safety culture across all activities, ensuringcompliance with company procedures and legal requirements
: Drive efficiency through effective resource planning
Requirements of Role:
: Preferably 4 years' experience in a similar role within construction or a related industry
: Strong communication, organisation and customer service skills
: Experience working within the Crane Hire, Powered Access or Plant Hire industry is essential
: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems
