Responsibilities include:

1. Practicing with a Customer Service approach in all activities.
2. Utilizing internal and external resources appropriately.
3. Documenting according to entity/department guidelines.
4. Setting up, adjusting, and operating medical equipment and instruments.
5. Performing testing ordered by physicians and assisting Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians.
6. Providing care for physical and psychological needs of patients during examinations to ensure safety and comfort.
7. Coordinating work to maximize productivity and efficiency, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
8. Evaluating ultrasound images for technical quality and maintaining proper records and labeling.
9. Maintaining knowledge of departmental and hospital policies, including safety and infection control.
10. Performing Level II obstetrical ultrasound exams, including multiple gestations.
11. Guiding invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and performing First Trimester Nuchal Translucency scans.
12. Gathering clinical information prior to exams and scheduling patients.
13. Checking and maintaining supplies and sterilization of equipment.
14. Having knowledge of fetal growth and development.
15. Maintaining active and current certifications and registrations.
16. Performing administrative tasks as needed.


Additional Requirements:

* Must read, write, and communicate in English.
* Credentialed by ARDMS in OB/GYN.
* Nuchal Translucency certification required.
* 1-2 years of high-risk OB ultrasound experience, including Doppler, M-Mode, and Real Time Modalities.
* Current BLS certification.


Position Purpose:

Specialize in perinatal Maternal Fetal Medicine and High-Risk OB/GYN Sonography, including Fetal Anatomy Surveys, Doppler Studies, and Biophysical Profiles, under supervision of physicians.


Schedule:

32 hours per week, with shifts from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 9 am to 5 pm, occasional weekends and holidays. Sign-On Bonus eligible.

Falmouth Hospital Association, Massachusetts-Falmouth, Department of Ultrasound.
