Role: Meter Reader (gas and electricity only) - no experience is required
Do you like working in an active outdoor role? If the answer is yes, then this could be the role for you.
As a Meter Reader you will be responsible for collecting data from gas, electricity meters for both commercial and residential properties. You will update meter reads accurately throughout the day on your handheld device, also entering the details on a handheld device at each location and providing excellent customer service.
What we offer:
1. £12.60 - 13.00 per hour basic pay (weekly payment)
2. Weekly Hours 37.5 hours a week with flexible start and finish times Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm.
3. Weekly Bonus scheme with earnings up to £200 weekly.
4. Overtime rates at manager's discretion.
5. Business expenses reimbursed at £30.05 pence per mile.
6. Company pension enrolment.
7. No previous experience required.

9. Up to 28 days holiday per year.
10. Full uniform and PPE provided.
11. Full training will be provided.
12. Double pay on Bank Holidays
What you will need to apply
Essential requirements for the role:
13. UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
14. Physically fit and have no issues with bending in tight spaces, kneeling, climbing stairs, crouching, and walking on average 3-4 miles a day.
15. Happy to work in all weather conditions.
16. Clear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions)
17. Previous Customer Service experience (preferred not essential)
18. Access to your own vehicle
19. Business insurance
Duties:
20. Retrieving data from domestic, commercial, and industrial sites for Water, Gas and Electric Meters, full training will be given.
21. Carry out visual inspections of associated metering equipment.
22. Charge Point Surveys.
23. Drive and motivation to work in an independent role.
24. Friendly personality with a professional approach to work.
25. Adhering to Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
Training:
26. Training is 1 week and will be both classroom-based and field-based with an experienced meter reader, so you get to see the job through a professional's eyes.
