Job Overview: We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexible availability during weekdays, evenings, and weekends is required.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met
* Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials
* Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
* Keep up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices
* Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
Qualifications
* Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
* Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
* Accurate reporting and thorough, organised student records
* Able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills
* Work well with diverse groups of people
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
* Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent
