Strengthen Our Resilience – Internal Assurance Manager
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Internal Assurance Manager to lead internal audits and drive our assurance strategy across functions and projects. This is a key role within the Risk & Assurance team, where you will help ensure the organisation operates with confidence, transparency, and integrity.
You will be responsible for delivering a proactive, risk-based assurance plan that assesses and enhances the effectiveness of our internal controls. Working closely with senior leadership, you will influence strategic decision-making and help embed robust assurance practices across the business.
What will the role look like?
You Will Lead On
* Designing and delivering functional and project assurance plans, including planning, executing, and reporting on internal audits.
* Identifying control gaps and areas for operational improvement, and recommending effective, pragmatic solutions.
* Leading follow-up reviews and ensuring agreed actions are completed in line with timelines and expectations.
* Providing clear, timely assurance reporting to senior stakeholders and supporting wider risk and compliance activities.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
* Demonstrable experience in internal assurance, audit, or risk management, ideally within a medium-to-large organisation.
* Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment tools, and compliance frameworks.
* Leadership capability, with experience managing audit teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.
* A relevant degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; construction sector experience is desirable.
