We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Application Support Consultant to join our team in the UK!

Role Purpose

An opportunity to join an experienced support and development team as a junior consultant to support and further develop our customer’s website. Training will be provided and experience gained over time; we are primarily looking for a self-motivated individual who already has a background in IT and is ready to learn and develop new skills.


What to expect

* Develop and support the website and associated applications.
* Assist the Team Leader in future projects through the full project life cycle (specification, development, system testing, implementation and ongoing support)
* Provide technical support to the customer and attend daily Scrum/Teams meetings
* Participate in out-of-hours support for deployments and other business-critical events
* Act as an ambassador for IT by balancing customer satisfaction and efficiency
* Create value by enabling customers in their daily work, owning incidents and IT requests, resolving and communicating in a timely manner
* Assist with customer-friendly, clear communication and timely feedback to the originator of outstanding incidents or requests. Manage escalations of customer issues, working closely with other services teams as required
* Demonstrate the ability to monitor and prioritise workloads; overcome obstacles to achieve goals, both independently and as part of a team
* Provide remote support using remote access tools and clear verbal/written communication
* Self-training on current development and programming methodologies while supporting existing systems


What we expect from you

* Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering exceptional service and value
* Experience using IT Service Management toolsets to handle customer tickets effectively
* ITIL knowledge related to IT Service Operations (Incident Management) is advantageous


Required Technical Skills

* .NET development in C# using Visual Studio and GitHub
* SQL Server knowledge including stored procedures and indexing


Desirable Technical Skills

* SOLR knowledge
* Linux skills
* Experience in a support and development role
* Exposure to app development on iOS and Android
