We’re hiring a Principal Consultant to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing consulting firms — working directly with the Managing Director to lead delivery, build client relationships and shape the future of the business.
About Swift Strategies
Swift Strategies is a digital, data and technology consultancy that solves complex transformation problems — the ones most organisations struggle to deliver.
They partner with public and private sector organisations to:
* Fix failing or stuck programmes
* Deliver complex transformation at pace
* Bring clarity to messy, high-pressure environments
They are known for being:
* Highly collaborative — working with clients, not just for them
* Relentless problem solvers who get to the root of issues
* Straight-talking and human, bringing teams together and making things happen
This is not a “slide deck consultancy.”
This is delivery, impact, and real outcomes.
The Role
You will:
* Lead complex programmes across client environments
* Be the main point of contact for key clients and contracts
* Ensure delivery is on time, to budget and high quality
* Provide high-level problem solving and direction
* Lead and develop a team of consultants
* Support business development and growth
In simple terms:
You are accountable for making sure things get delivered — properly.
What We’re Looking For
We’re not just looking for experience — we’re looking for the right person.
You will likely have:
* Strong experience in consulting, programme delivery or project leadership
* Confidence managing senior stakeholders and clients
* Experience in public sector environments (desirable)
* Exposure to other industries (private sector ideal)
* A network — or the confidence to build one
You might come from:
* Consulting
* Government / public sector delivery
* Complex programme environments
Culture Fit (This Matters Most)
Swift is a people-first consultancy.
You will thrive here if you are:
* Down to earth, personable and easy to work with
* A natural relationship builder — with clients and teams
* Reliable and organised — you do what you say you will
* Collaborative — you bring ideas and energy
* A genuine people person who enjoys developing others
* Someone with personality — interests, hobbies, and a life outside work
This is a team of high performers who also genuinely enjoy working together.
The Reality of the Role
This role suits someone who:
* Enjoys ownership and accountability
* Is comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
* Can balance client expectations, delivery and team leadership
* Wants to play a key role in a growing consultancy
If you prefer structure, layers and handovers — this won’t be for you.
If you like solving problems, leading from the front and making things happen — you’ll love it.
Details
* £75,000 – £90,000 + benefits
* Remote (UK-based)
* Ideally South or Midlands ( easy access to London)
