Role: Motor Vehicle Technician (Workshop Support)

Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Technician for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire.
This is a full time temporary role to start asap.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to support practical training within a busy workshop environment and help learners develop their technical skills.
Overview
As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will support the delivery of practical motor vehicle training by assisting with workshop activities, demonstrating technical skills, and ensuring the workshop environment is safe, organised, and fully equipped.
You will work closely with teaching staff and learners, helping to prepare equipment, maintain resources, and support students during practical sessions.
Responsibilities
* Support practical workshop sessions by demonstrating motor vehicle repair and maintenance techniques
* Assist teaching staff in delivering hands-on learning activities
* Supervise and support students working in the workshop environment
* Ensure equipment, tools, and materials are prepared and available for practical sessions
* Maintain workshop cleanliness, organisation, and safe storage of equipment
* Carry out basic maintenance, servicing, and repairs of workshop equipment
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering parts and materials when required
* Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety regulations
* Support learners with a range of abilities in a professional and encouraging manner
* Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the smooth running of workshop operations
Qualifications
* Experience working in the motor vehicle industry
* Relevant Motor Vehicle qualification (Level 2 or equivalent)
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
* Strong understanding of workshop health and safety practices
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Good communication skills and the ability to support learners
Desirable
* Experience working in a training or education environment
* Experience supporting learners or apprentices
