Job Description: A strong culinary ability is required for preparing and plating all food items, handling à la carte food preparation for the Lounge at Heathrow Airport. Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and HACCP requirements is essential, along with experience in handling Halal meat and understanding Halal preparation standards. The role involves supervising Commis and Kitchen Stewards, ensuring food safety, hygiene, portion control, and proper food storage.
Responsibilities include daily food orders, minimizing wastage, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and equipment, monitoring expiry dates, and communicating menu item availability. The role requires active participation in maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards and ensuring all food safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Chef De Partie, preferably in airline catering.
* Proficiency in various cooking methods such as grilling, roasting, and sautéing.
* Ability to plate attractively and maintain high presentation standards.
* Knowledge of dietary restrictions and menu modifications.
* Skills in inventory management, ordering, and waste minimization.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Information
