Wood Digital Consulting (DC) are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to support North Sea decarbonisation, Energy, Oil & Gas, specialty chemical and Industrial Sectors.
The role is required to work under the Head of E,C&I Engineering to support the execution of electrical scopes across all Project phases (Concept to Start-up) based within our Hull office, where we recognise the value of hybrid working.

This role will contribute to the delivery of engineering excellence for our clients and stakeholders. The Principal Electrical Engineer will serve as the technical expert on projects and hold advanced level specialization in one or more areas of expertise.

Expected:
8. MSc degree in Electrical Engineering - Mandatory
9. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificate
10. Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates (Amtech Trimble)
11. Ability to comprehend and interpret Electrical technical information.
12. A strong and capable knowledge of ATEX/UKEX standards (ExF, Ex12 desirable)
13. Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
14. Working level of competence in own discipline in the execution of assigned tasks.
15. Working level of knowledge of industry and technology development within discipline area
16. Ability to create functional and cost-effective designs and processes that meet complex specification requirements with little support.
17. Knowledge and experience of the following – Electrical generation, transformation and distribution systems.
18. Familiar in specification and interface management of Electrical requirements for Mechanical packages
19. Familiar with interfacing with Client Engineers personnel to facilitate project execution.
20. Experience with managing and liaison with Vendors to facilitate project execution
21. Familiar with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
Desirable:
22. Previous site survey experience
23. Offshore design experience
24. Shows evidence of ability to guide and mentor others
25. Experienced user of relevant specialist engineering software
26. Good interpersonal and team working skills, builds positive relationships with supervisors, subordinates, peers, and clients
27. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
28. Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative.
