Workshop & Field Service Engineer – Full training provided
Location: North Gloucestershire / Cotswolds – commutable from Cheltenham, Evesham, Oxford, Bicester, Cirencester, Warwick, Banbury, Chipping Norton and surrounding areas. Travel: 50% field-based / 50% workshop-based.
Our client is a market leader in high‑end domestic environmental systems, specialising in mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) systems. We are looking for a versatile engineer to handle a mix of technical workshop tasks and on‑site commissioning.
Role
This role offers a balanced mix of a stable workshop environment and the autonomy of field service.
Key Responsibilities
* Field work (50%): Travel to properties to perform commissioning, performance testing and system repairs. Represent the company and ensure systems operate at peak efficiency.
* Workshop work (50%): Work at the main hub on product assembly, component testing and technical refurbishments.
* Occasional overnight stays (≈1‑2 times/month) for projects beyond local region.
Qualifications & Experience
* Engineering experience preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn and become a renewable energy system engineer is key.
* Training provided – up to a year of theoretical and hands‑on learning.
* Candidates should live within approximately one hour of the depot, with commutes from Stratford‑upon‑Avon, Banbury, Cheltenham, Evesham, Oxford, Chipping Norton.
Additional Information
Candidate must be available for field trips and workshop duties as described. This position includes full training and a blended working schedule.
