SEN Learning and Support Assistant
Based in Martlesham
£12,884(4 days a week/ 24 hours, term time only)
This role predominantly supports our EHCP 16-24 Education programme, focusing on personal development, learning, social-emotional health, and community integration through nature-based activities.
This is a part-time role in term time only, up to 4 days a week 9:30am- 3:30pm.
One year fixed term contract, reviewed annually.

We are looking for someone to deliver high quality learning support to children and young people with an Education and Health Care Plan.
You will empower, encourage and enable individuals to access their education or personal development pathways, helping them move closer to their goals and independence.
You will work with young people who experience barriers to learning which may include autism, ADHD, SEN and social, emotional and mental health challenges.
Your role is to help them access their education within a therapeutic and supportive setting, using activities in nature as a conduit to bring about success and growth.
About you
We are looking for someone with a warm, approachable demeanour that makes participants and partners feel at ease, and supporting the tutor to create a warm, patient and supportive educational and therapeutic environment. As well as having the ability to handle challenging conversations with patience and professionalism, whilst maintaining clear boundaries.
You will be able to build meaningful relationships with participants, colleagues, families/carers and external partners. And experience managing multiple tasks through the working day and keeping track of essential participant details and help to record key achievements.
This role requires confidence using IT systems (like our CRM system, Beacon) to maintain accurate records and support tutors to monitor and report progress.
