SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Behaviour Support)
Bradford | Immediate Start | Full-Time Supply
Got the patience of a saint and the sense of humour to match? This could be the perfect role for you.
Protocol Education is looking for a calm, confident, and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a one-to-one basis in a Bradford primary school. The student can display challenging behaviour, so this role is ideal for someone who can stay steady under pressure and help children find positive ways to express themselves.
What you’ll be doing:
• Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Using de-escalation and positive reinforcement to build trust and consistency
• Helping the pupil engage with learning and routines throughout the school day
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to put support strategies in place
• Creating a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for learning and growth
What we’re looking for:
• Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour or additional needs
• A calm, patient, and resilient attitude
• Someone who can form strong, supportive relationships quickly
• A background in education, youth work, or behaviour support (desirable but not essential)
What’s in it for you?
• Weekly pay through PAYE (no umbrella companies, no hidden fees)
• FREE access to our online CPD Academy – including behaviour management and SEND courses
• 1:1 support from your local consultant (real people, not bots!)
• Opportunities across SEND, SEMH, and alternative provision settings
• Referral rewards when you recommend a friend
✨ Bonus: Not Thrive trained yet? No worries – we’ll enrol you for free! Thrive training helps you support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and gives you a real edge with schools.
