The below job description will outline this position of: Marine Laminator Typically, this person will work as part of a production team building, focusing on the laminating and composite work required to form the hulls, decks, and associated structures. They will ensure high-quality standards in line with marine specifications and production schedules. Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Laminator: Hand lay-up and vacuum bagging of composite materials, including GRP and carbon fibre Laminating components such as hulls, decks, consoles, and internal fittings for new-build vessels Trimming, sanding, and preparing moulds and finished products Reading and working from technical drawings and laminating specifications Carrying out quality checks and repairs as needed Ensuring clean, safe, and efficient work practices within the workshop Qualifications and requirements for the Marine Laminator: Proven experience in GRP/composite laminating within the marine sector Ability to work from technical drawings and follow lay-up schedules Understanding of composite materials and processes such as hand lay, infusion, and vacuum bagging Good attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical, who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role.
