Due to growth we are seeking a Stock & Logistics Controller, to join their team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will primarily be responsible for: Ownership of stock inventory, ensuring levels are managed correctly to serve customers in a timely manner. Manage local and international freight operations for all movements of goods to and from the workshop to vendors and customers. Assess current stock management and freight processes for gaps, propose counter measures and formally document. The role: Liaise with Sales team on what stock items and quantities are required to be held for critical customers. Determine minimum stock levels for critical items based on usage data and monitor periodically against these levels. Initiate the order process for replenishment of stock when minimum orders are reached. Review suitability of storage locations, packing etc. Highlight improvement opportunities. Ensure parts brought in have been properly QA checked and approved before storage. Overseeing Delivery Notes vs picking lists. (process TBC, signed picking lists from Storeman). Monitoring stock additions to stop unwanted/unneeded parts being added to stock. Initiate and conduct cyclical stock counts. Identify root cause for any stock discrepancies. Identify and implement stock management practices to mitigate risks. Prepare for and support annual stock take process with external auditors. Stock adjustments after annual stock count. Journaling stock items in and out of stock. Liaise with Workshop Operations Team members and Stores personnel to coordinate all incoming and outgoing freight movements. Liaise with Contracts Execution Team members and Stores personnel to coordinate customer spares deliveries from facility. Coordinate with Project Managers and appropriate freight companies to organise on time collections and deliveries within project budget. Raise PO for freight companies when required. Administrative diligence - accurately, efficiently in a timely manner prepare required shipping documents and seek to continuously improve stores and logistics procedures. What we're looking for: 3 years experience in a similar role in manufacturing, industrial, mining or engineering industries Certificate III in business administration, warehouseing, logistics or similar Forklift licence Drivers licence Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy with a high level of cultural sensitivity. Minimum of 3 year experience working on ERP system Minimum of 3 year experience working in stock management Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and work both independently and in a team environment Ability to work under pressure while keeping a positive and result- driven attitude Negotiation skills High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain high level of accuracy High level of PC literacy, especially MS Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer Dealing with demanding customers and demanding priorities Identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness, streamline activities and procedures, overcome obstacles and to utilise resources more effectively On offer: $80k-$85k 12.5% super Full-time permanent role Global company Supportive team environment with opportunity for growth If you're looking for the next step in your career, APPLY TODAY!
