This Chesterfield-based specialist provision, rapidly expanding and increasing in pupil capacity, are seeking an inspiring, energetic and flexible Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant, able to inspire and redirect the energies of young disaffected students, to join their small, close-knit team as soon as possible.
Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant – Pre-Requisites
1. Must drive, and hold a full UK Driving License
2. Must possess a Business Insurance, or be willing to acquire one
3. Core Degree from British University
4. Patient and nurturing disposition
5. Must wish to train on a contract basis, before transitioning to a permanent contract with the school
6. Confident and outgoing personality, whilst remaining capable of a professional persona
7. Experience working with Additional Needs or younger children advantageous

Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant – The Role
18. Full-time, long-term role at a single provision
19. Sociable hours of 0830 – 1620 Monday to Friday
20. Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant role
21. All pupils are at risk of exclusion, or have been excluded, from mainstream education, and some may have SEN, diagnosed or otherwise
22. Specialist provision located in Chesterfield
23. May involve going offsite to deliver work at the pupil’s homes
24. To meet the varied and complex needs of disaffected pupils
25. To re-engage students with education
