Job Summary
The successful candidate will work on various schemes within the Power & Energy and Highways sectors. Projects include onshore and offshore wind farms, grid connection infrastructure, public road improvements, and other highway elements supporting renewable energy infrastructure. The role involves technical design, multidisciplinary design management, and project management, suitable for those approaching or recently achieving chartership with ICE or IHE.
* At least three years’ postgraduate experience
* Knowledge of DMRB, highway standards, and MCDHW
* Experience in highway/road drainage, alignment, and earthworks design
* Ability to manage junior team members
* Experience designing SUDS compliant with UK standards
* Hydraulic modelling experience of surface water drainage networks
* Experience liaising with local councils or Trunk Road Operators
* Proficiency in Civils 3D, CAD, and MicroDrainage software
* Experience in design/project management
* Knowledge of SEPA guidelines, CAR regulations, and licensing
* Near or recent chartered status with ICE or IHE
Qualifications:
* BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or similar
