Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a passion for food and exceptional leadership skills. This role involves supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and customers.
Duties
* Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision and training.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to enhance menu offerings and improve food production efficiency.
* Implement effective team management strategies to motivate staff and improve performance.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant environment, including dining areas and kitchen facilities.
* Assist in financial management tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Previous experience in food production or kitchen operations is highly desirable.
* Background in serving or barista roles is an advantage.
* Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
