We seek a motivated registered nurse, social worker, or occupational therapist to join our expanding multidisciplinary mental health team within the Specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (S-CAMHS), Hywel Dda University Health Board.
The role involves two main functions: providing psychologically informed consultation, training, and support to education professionals in schools through the Schools in-Reach program; and conducting assessments and interventions for children and adolescents with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Main Responsibilities:
* Direct work with children, young people, and families in clinics and community settings.
* Supporting school staff to meet the mental health and wellbeing needs of pupils.
* Providing liaison and training to external colleagues within the local authority.
In direct work, the post holder will assess mental health needs, offer advice and support, and deliver brief interventions to prevent or reduce mental health difficulties, in line with the Welsh Government Mental Health Measures 2010.
The team aims to build confidence among schools in managing mental health and emotional wellbeing issues, through regular advice, consultation, and training sessions, responding to their needs as they arise.

* Five community hospitals and two integrated care centers in Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
* Numerous GP practices, dental practices, pharmacies, ophthalmic practices, and mental health services.
