Nunhead Salvation Army Corps is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Community Cafe Manager to coordinate the effective operation of the Cafe with responsibility for management of employees and volunteers working within it to ensure a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure good quality food, presentation and services are provided to Café customers as well as for special events or functions to provide a high level of customer service.
2. Develop and regularly evaluate, with the officer, a strategy that will promote the café in the local community and increase income.
3. Work with the officer and the local leadership to develop and implement the corps mission.
4. Take any necessary actions or initiatives to promote the ethos and values of the Salvation Army in the local community.
5. Plan menus, taking into account dietary needs, choice and customer opinion to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have:
6. Experience of working at a management level within a food provision retail environment
7. Strong knowledge and experience of preparing and serving food in a cafe environment
8. Experience in developing a well-balanced menu that will attract customers and increase business. i.e. menu for birthday party etc.
9. Previous experience of managing volunteers and employees to deliver their objectives
