In addition, the candidate is required to work within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) setting, which may include attending MDT meetings and sharing knowledge and skills. There will also be opportunities for both formal and informal supervision with more junior staff members.
The successful candidate needs to have good levels of adaptability and creativity to ensure engagement of service users and, where appropriate, family, friends and carers, and the successful progression of physiotherapy interventions. Given the diversity within the service‑user population, candidates should recognise the importance of facilitating inclusive practice.
It is important that the candidate is an advocate for the importance of physical activity for the recovery of service users and promotes physical activity during admission, highlighting the links between mind and body as part of the wider physiotherapy department focus.
