Job Description
Role Description
We seek a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to strengthen Masabi's financial operations. This role will focus on streamlining processes, supporting audits, optimizing treasury functions, and ensuring strong financial management through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Location
This position is available in fully remote and hybrid formats. While we prefer candidates based in London, we are open to applicants willing to travel occasionally to our London office.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee month-end profit and loss activities, including balance sheet reviews and variance analysis.
2. Prepare interim financial statements and year-end statutory accounts in compliance with regulatory standards.
3. Serve as the primary contact for year-end audits, enhancing process efficiency.
4. Improve financial reporting systems and internal controls for accuracy and compliance.
5. Contribute to ERP system projects, focusing on automation and operational improvements.
6. Provide technical accounting support and expertise to the finance team.
7. Develop and implement treasury optimization strategies to enhance financial performance.
8. Manage KYC documentation to ensure banking compliance.
9. Assist with tax activities, including R&D tax credits and international tax compliance.
10. Coordinate insurance renewals, evaluate insurable risks, and address customer insurance inquiries.
Qualifications
About You
We seek a proactive individual with strong attention to detail and collaborative skills, experienced in:
* Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Google Suite, with robust data analysis and reporting capabilities
* ACA or ACCA qualification
* Solid background in financial reporting, audits, and statutory accounts
* Technical accounting expertise with team guidance abilities
* Knowledge of treasury management, tax compliance, and ERP systems
* Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement
* Excellent communication skills fostering cross-department collaboration
Highly Desirable
* Experience with R&D tax credit filings
* Understanding of international tax laws and group tax management
* Familiarity with insurance processes and procurement
* Experience in fast-paced, tech-driven finance roles
