Our Offshore Infrastructure department comprises of approximately 170 professionals dedicated to delivering assurance services across a wide range of offshore sectors. We are organised into two sections: the Asset Assurance section, which focuses on providing verification services for in-service operations, and the Project Assurance section (where this opportunity sits), which provides the technical advisory and verification services from the early design through to offshore commissioning.

From early-stage site characterisation and ground modelling through to design, installation and operation of offshore structures, our team combines site-specific geoscience expertise with advanced engineering assessments. This enables us to deliver innovative solutions to support the development of renewable energy projects, particularly offshore wind, while also ensuring the safety, resilience and efficiency of offshore operations across a diverse range of sectors including oil and gas, carbon capture and storage and hydrogen.
Furthermore, DNV plays a pivotal role in establishing best practices and technical standards for offshore geoscience and geotechnical engineering. Our expertise contributes to the development of global guidance and methodologies through engagement with global industry bodies such as DNV, ISO, SNAME, and numerous Joint Industry Projects (JIPs). 
Our Opportunity:
As a graduate joining our Offshore Infrastructure department within the Project Assurance team, you’ll step into a dynamic, multidisciplinary and collaborative environment offering plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth. You will work alongside a diverse team of geoscientists and engineers working across various fields, including geological, geotechnical, structural and mechanical engineering, metocean analysis, naval architecture, and hydrodynamics.
Our projects are global, from Alaska to New Zealand, providing a genuine variety of technical challenges in diverse environments. While this position is based in the UK, you’ll be fully connected to DNV’s international network, working closely with colleagues across different regions. Additionally, following completion of your Graduate Programme there can be numerous opportunities to participate in exchange programs between different DNV offices worldwide, enhancing your global perspective and expertise.

Our structured Graduate Programme is designed to give you a strong foundation for your career, supporting your journey to becoming an expert in your chosen field.
From day one, you’ll be welcomed into a supportive, experienced team. You’ll be paired with a ‘buddy’ to help you settle in and a mentor to guide your technical development. Additionally, you’ll receive ongoing ‘on-the-job’ coaching and support from your colleagues, helping you to develop your technical, project management and customer interaction skills, as you work towards achieving professional status or chartership.
During your first two years, you will be developing real skills and knowledge within our department, allowing you to spend time with different technical experts across multiple disciplines, building your network and gaining a broader understanding of both “what we do” and “what you enjoy doing”.
As part of your development, you’ll follow a graduate development path that includes a mix of virtual and in-person courses. These courses will offer you the opportunity to meet other graduates across the country, improve soft skills such as communication and digital skills, gain insights into chartership, and set career goals.

 10. Minimum 2:2 Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology and Geophysics or related subjects
 11. Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to produce clear, actionable technical reports that effectively communicate analysis and outcomes to customers
 12. Proactive and eager to learn new skills, with a hands-on attitude and readiness to take on challenges beyond your comfort zone. You’ll demonstrate sound judgment—knowing when to seek guidance and when to apply initiative and critical thinking to solve problems independently
 13. Strong interpersonal and team working skills, with the confidence in building professional relationships and the ability to communicate and present complex ideas clearly, both in writing and verbally
 14. Curiosity and self-motivation, with the ability to plan and prioritise own time and activities, to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives
 15. High adaptability to work with multi-disciplinary team to achieve high quality business deliverables
 16. Additional interest and/or skills in Project Management, Digital Innovation or Technical Developments within our industry and how we can apply these to enhance our services, whilst not essential may be of value to our team.
