We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our established team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.
Salary £25,185 - £25,989 per week • Fixed term until 31/08/2026 • Full time, 37 hours per week • Location: County Hall, Preston
This post is within the Children Looked After Team based at County Hall, Preston PR1 0LD providing outstanding support to operational staff and managers. We are currently working a combination of home and office working. Therefore, you will be required to have a suitable working space within your home and broadband connection. If you are unable to provide a suitable homeworking environment, you will be required to work from your office base or nearest suitable office location for your non-office working hours. The office working days for this post are currently Tuesday and Friday.

Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality business support to the Children Looked After Team, contributing to the effective operation of the team and its work.
* Support operational staff and managers with administrative tasks, diary management, data entry, and use of Microsoft packages and databases.
* Engage with Managers, Social Workers, families, the public, and team members to provide clear information and advice.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience of working in an administration setting is desirable.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and databases.
Skills and Attributes
* Great communication skills; ability to listen and respond to individual requirements.
* Customer-focused approach with a drive to deliver a great service and experience, and to get things right first time.
