At Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., we are seeking a Senior Technical Sales Specialist Purification to join our world-class Sales team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by driving the development and implementation of our Purification Business in UK & Ireland! If you are highly motivated, have a consistent record in sales, and possess profound knowledge of the Biopharma Downstream Development and Manufacturing, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
* Develop and achieve business objectives to improve our Thermo Fisher presence in the DSP (Downstream) market.
* Influence the use and evaluation of our CaptureSelect and POROS Bioprocess chromatography resins in Pharmaceutical and Biotech organizations.
* Engage with various levels of technical, manufacturing, and commercial partners, employing differentiated sales strategies based on customer segment and molecule entity
* Handle accounts with key influencers by collaborating closely with the Bioproduction Accounts Managers.
* Develop and implement a strategic plan to increase market share in the region.
* Discover and develop new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed targets.
* Maintain and grow business within existing key accounts.
* Provide accurate forecasts, lost order reporting, and competitive information on a regular basis.
* Ensure efficient and effective utilization of vital resources.
* Co-ordinate all issues with key clients between sales, support, customer services, marketing, and finance.
Qualifications
* B.Sc or higher degree in Life Science or relevant science subject.
* Deep understanding of the Biopharma and Bioprocessing Market.
* Experience in selling to Downstream customers is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Proven track record of establishing goals and achieving results.
* Highly motivated and well-organized self-starter.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and work through networks.
* Ability to run business remotely in a highly matrix organization
* Experience using a CRM system such as Salesforce.com.
* Collaborative individual, capable of effectively collaborating with sales, marketing, product management, and customer service teams.
* Open to extensive travel within the region.
* Business fluent in English and another European language as a plus.
