We’re Ocado Retail. We’re the people powering Ocado.com, the world’s largest online grocer, and Zoom by Ocado, our almost-as-fast-growing, same-day grocery service. As the world’s biggest and best online-only grocer, we work tirelessly to bring more of what matters to our customers: unbeatable range, fair value, and effortless convenience.
We’re an exceptional and mighty bunch of colleagues who are inspired by our three awesome values: Always be curious, Bring your best self, and Challenge what's possible .
We have ambitious plans and vision to never-stop making our customers' lives better, by delivering the supermarket of today, tomorrow.
The Role/Profile
1. Are you a professional social scroller and a food obsessive? Did you take part in the Pesto Fried Egg trend last year or were you the first to rave about airfryers before every person and their dog had one? If so, keep on reading.
We are searching for a multi-skilled, strategic social creative who understands trends and is always ahead of the game with their social skills. You understand the platforms, have your emoji reactions ready to go and know how to make your audience stop scrolling.
2. Each day is different at Ocado as we are a young company with tons of ambition to change the world of online shopping. We don’t have physical stores, so we have to grab people's attention in the digital world. This means that one day, you could be posting scary suppers for a Halloween campaign and the next day creating a social proposition to promote our electric vans.
3. Briefs are provided by the content marketing and paid social team, and it’s your job to interpret, build upon and challenge these before the work begins in kickoffs.
4. You then work closely with photographers, videographers, art directors and the marketing team to create content for the social calendar. Content that meets the strategy and gets our customers to love us so much more.
5. We’re an in-house team, with a whole organisation relying on us to get things done, so we need you to be professional, self-motivated and dependable too. We need you to present ideas, to not be afraid of suggesting something new and to make collaboration the heart of it all. Our studio is filled with talented people who want to do outstanding work.
6. Reporting to our Creative Studio Lead, alongside our Senior Social Media Manager, you will join a team of creatives within our in-house studio EAT that also includes copywriters, recipe writers, animators, videographers, designers, photographers, developers and more.
Key Responsibilities
7. You are a social native who makes sure every post is trend-ready while writing mega LOLs copy for your own social media handles. You understand how to convey key messages succinctly, be articulate in the nuanced language of each platform, and know the acute differences between a and a. Plus, you’re too good for filters, can get around light room and know how to create and use a template like it’s nobody’s business.
8. You’re a problem solver, brief grabber and someone who lives to make our brand famous through the power of good social media.
9. You can plan a content calendar, have an eye for style and know how to write a caption that’ll have people reading right till the end. And you’re passionate about pushing the boundaries and want to engage our followers in new and exciting ways.
10. You know how to make something stand out and spark a conversation while growing brand love. You work with teams to think about the customer journey from awareness to consideration and bring it all together, thinking about every touch point. You collate ideas and share them with the team before presenting them to the wider business.
