We are seeking a Medical Director with a strong background in Ophthalmology.
The role can be based remotely in select EMEA locations.
The Medical Director is a medical expert with specialized therapeutic expertise and experience across indications, clients, and drug development. Responsibilities include initiating and maintaining medical and consultative relationships with clients, consulting on early engagement and pre-award efforts, and serving as a medical monitor for projects. The Medical Director may also take on leadership roles, mentoring junior MDs and managing teams of physicians where appropriate.
Primary activities focus on Medical Monitoring Delivery & PV Support. The medical monitor will independently deliver all medical support required for successful project delivery according to contractual agreements and assigned roles (Global or Regional Lead Physician).
Medical Expertise and experience in Ophthalmology are essential. This includes providing high-quality consultation on protocol development, drug development programs, reviewing documents, collaborating on internal therapeutic meetings, developing training modules, white papers, slide sets, and publications.
Client Relationship Building & Engagement: Soliciting and addressing client feedback related to medical study activities is a core skill.
Business Development: The medical monitor will contribute medical expertise and leadership in Proposal Development Teams for client bid pursuits.

* Clinical medicine experience with specialization in Ophthalmology

* Experience in Pharmaceutical Medicine (preferred)
* Leadership, mentoring, and team management experience (preferred)
Education
* Medical degree from an acknowledged medical school with completed clinical training (residency/internship)
