EFAB Industrial Solutions, a leading Engineering Construction business based in Immingham, is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will produce, manage, and deliver piping engineering and design work for contracts and projects under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
* Produce or review detailed piping calculations and specifications.
* Assess safety and environmental implications of engineering designs.
* Develop piping engineering and design in accordance with the project quality plan, applicable codes, and legislation.
* Generate and review piping specifications, drawings, and data sheets.
* Manage change control processes for design documentation.
* Develop and approve piping engineering drawings and deliverables following company and client procedures.
* Conduct literature searches as needed.
* Gather and organize design information.
* Coordinate with equipment suppliers for selection and liaison.
* Investigate, develop, and train others in new processes and design techniques.
* Review and approve engineering design work conducted by others.
* Manage small piping projects.
* Serve as the main client discipline liaison during project execution.
* Prepare piping engineering estimates and oversee discipline engineering budgets.
Technical Requirements
* Capable of leading piping engineering efforts and delivering requirements across all project stages.
* Stay updated with the latest piping industry standards, technology, and norms within Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, and Energy sectors.
* Have a good understanding of electronic tools used in piping engineering departments.
* Be familiar with software, particularly Iso generation packages used by the design team.
* Represent the company as an expert in piping engineering.
* Contribute to establishing a centre of excellence in Piping Engineering within the East region.
