Customer Delivery Driver - Rugby Superstore
Overview: Tesco Customer Delivery Drivers deliver shopping from local store to customers’ homes. This role involves driving and customer service with flexibility in hours.
Pay and Hours
Rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; opportunities to work fewer hours (minimum 12) are also available.
The role includes fixed availability windows and scheduling of contracted hours with three weeks’ notice. We support flexibility where the advertised times are close but not exact.

You will be responsible for
* Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip while keeping the van and trays clean and tidy.
* Leaving the yard clean and free of rubbish; picking up litter as observed.
* Ensuring trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
* Loading the van as required; checking the van is roadworthy.
* Discussing any changes to orders with customers, including substitutions and refunds where applicable.
* Handling deliveries with care and delivering within the agreed time slot.
* Calling the customer before arrival if early; calling the store if running 30+ minutes late.
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and support excellent customer service.
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues; understand customer needs and express appreciation.
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
* Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations; balance work and personal life.
* Share ideas with the Manager and colleagues to improve the store for customers.
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
